The accuracy with which this so thoroughly tears apart “Goodbye” makes me wonder how the writers could have gotten it SO wrong. Part of me thinks they did it on purpose somehow. I don’t know why, but I feel like there had to be conscious intent involved in making the season finale this disappointing.
